COACH PROFILE // ZAVIAN COOK

Training is more than just the physical aspect.

I coach the person in front of me—not an idea of who an athlete should be.

ORIGIN // FROM ATHLETE TO COACH

Fitness changed the way I carry myself.

I have been involved in sports my entire life. A lot of the confidence I have today came from fitness, including my willingness to try new things. In college, I got the opportunity to coach athletes with completely different experience levels. That taught me to listen before I prescribed.

Over time, I learned how to communicate, motivate, and adapt based on what each athlete needed. Coaching became less about exercises and more about understanding the person doing them.

“I realized that helping athletes reach goals that they once thought were impossible is something I want to continue doing for the rest of my career.”— Zavian Cook

HOW I COACH

Clear options. One useful direction.

I do not believe there is only one solution to a problem. I explain the purpose, keep the work simple, and adjust without losing sight of the result.

PERSONAL // RESET

Good food. Open air. A clear mind.

I am a big foodie, and I also make time to walk and take in the scenery around Las Vegas. That time outside helps me clear my mind. I bring the same approach to coaching: create space, pay attention, and choose the next step with purpose.
